Building solid foundations —
academically and individually
Our Primary
The primary years are where curiosity deepens, skills expand and confidence begins to take root. At Radley, we combine strong academic discipline with emotional support so that children grow not only in knowledge, but in resilience, independence and self-belief. Small classes and flexible teaching styles ensure that every learner is challenged, supported, and celebrated on their journey.
What makes Radley different is the way we blend academic excellence with entrepreneurial thinking. From Grade 1, our learners are referred to as entrepreneurs — encouraged to see themselves as problem-solvers, creators and leaders in the making. Entrepreneurial concepts are woven into every subject and activity, whether it’s a cake and candy sale, an English project or the development of their own business ideas.
Leadership development begins early, with learners taking on age-appropriate responsibilities that grow with them year by year. This journey culminates in grade 7, where they form the Board of Entrepreneurs — what other schools might refer to as prefects — a powerful experience that prepares them for the challenges of high school and beyond.
Our classrooms are designed for balance: spaces where learners can concentrate quietly, collaborate actively and feel safe to share ideas. Our guides (that’s what we call teachers) offer consistent encouragement alongside academic direction because we believe that children achieve their best when their minds and hearts are supported.
The academic progress of every individual is carefully monitored but we celebrate more than results. Effort, improvement, collaboration and curiosity are all recognised — because success at Radley is more than numbers on a report card, it means becoming confident, capable and ready to take on the future.
Meet our principal
Charné de Gouveia
Pre-primary & primary school principal
Charné de Gouveia has dedicated her career to education, combining strong academic credentials with hands-on classroom experience. She holds a Bachelor of Education (cum laude) and has led at both preschool and primary school levels.
Alongside her teaching journey, Charné also built her own entrepreneurial venture, giving her valuable real-world insight into the challenges and creativity that business demands. This experience shapes the way she teaches and develops Radley’s entrepreneurial curriculum for young learners.
Since joining Radley in 2020, Charné has embraced the school’s vision wholeheartedly and is hands-on in developing all the entrepreneurial content for each grade. What she loves most is immersing herself in the classroom, inspiring children to grow in confidence and curiosity while laying strong foundations for future success.
