Where discovery
begins

Our pre-primary

The early foundation years are filled with wonder, rapid growth and endless curiosity. At Radley, we believe learning at this stage should be fun, safe, and meaningful. Our Pre-Primary phase is built on a play-based approach, where creativity, movement and imagination are just as important as early literacy and numeracy. Play is how children make sense of the world — and it’s the foundation for a lifetime of learning.

During these years, the brain is developing at an extraordinary pace. Children are not only building the cognitive skills that form the building blocks of reading, maths, and science, but also growing in character, social-emotional awareness, gross-motor coordination, and executive functioning — everything from problem-solving and organisation to impulse control.

Our pre-primary
programme nurtures this growth through:

Early literacy and numeracy foundations that spark a love for stories, patterns, and logical thinking.

BrainGym™ techniques that strengthen focus, coordination and readiness for structured learning.

Social interaction and emotional intelligence, helping children build friendships, develop empathy and express themselves with confidence.

Age-appropriate entrepreneurial activities that encourage curiosity, decision-making and the courage to try new ideas.

Creative expression through art, music, dance and movement, encouraging imagination and self-discovery.

Motor skills development through puzzles, building blocks, climbing, balancing, and outdoor play — strengthening coordination and confidence through exploration.

Our learning spaces are calm, flexible, and nurturing — carefully designed to help children feel safe to explore, grow, and express their individuality while developing at their own pace. At Radley, your child won’t just be prepared for “big school.” They’ll gain the confidence, resilience, and love of learning that will carry them through their entire school journey.

Meet our principal

Charné de Gouveia

Pre-primary & primary school principal

Charné de Gouveia has dedicated her career to education, combining strong academic credentials with hands-on classroom experience. She holds a Bachelor of Education (cum laude) and has led at both preschool and primary school levels.

Alongside her teaching journey, Charné also built her own entrepreneurial venture, giving her valuable real-world insight into the challenges and creativity that business demands. This experience shapes the way she teaches and develops Radley’s entrepreneurial curriculum for young learners.

Since joining Radley in 2020, Charné has embraced the school’s vision wholeheartedly and is hands-on in developing all the entrepreneurial content for each grade. What she loves most is immersing herself in the classroom, inspiring children to grow in confidence and curiosity while laying strong foundations for future success.
